Product Description
The Zipr 3 wheel travel scooter from Zipr Mobility is one of the most affordable 3 wheel travel scooters out there. We also like that its so easy in every way. The Zip'r 3 is lightweight so its simple to transport. It doesnt have wires that need to be connected, so you can assemble it in 20 seconds flat; just drop in the battery box and go. The Zipr 3s tires wont leave marks (or go flat) so you can use it indoors and out. It has a nice, tight turning radius, too. The Zip'r 3 wheel scooter is available in red and blue. When disassembled, the heaviest piece of the Zip'r 3 only weighs 29 lbs. It can support up to 250 lbs. and has an incredibly tight turning radius at only 30 inches. With a 3 year limited warranty and low price, you cant go wrong with the Zip'r 3 wheel travel scooter.

4 out of 5 stars Nice little wheels   September 30, 2008

This is a nice little scooter. For weeks I agonized over every little detail on many different scooters, trying to figure out what would be best for me. I like the comfort and all the bells and whistles of the more expensive scooters, but not the price. This was one of the least expensive scooters I could find. At the end, I just had to decide what I would be using it for and what fit in those specs.

I have had back surgery so I can't lift a lot of weight, and I can walk some but not very far. Mainly I wanted to be able to go to the bus stop to pick up my grandson, go to Dr. visits, and to stores that don't have the mart carts. Most of the grocery stores have them, Lowes, Target, and Walmart, so I didn't need it to shop there, but I couldn't go to the mall.

29 lbs. is the heaviest piece, and it takes only a minute to assemble and take it apart. Today I went to the mall for the first time in years, and what a difference it made in my mood. I didn't realize how small my world had become, and now I see I can go all over the neighborhood, even the steepest hills.

It can go up to 4.25 mph and has a dial to turn faster or slower, because if I'm in a china store, obviously I don't want to go at top speed. Additionally, I can adjust the speed by how far I push the throttle. It turns on the back wheels, so that's pretty tight. It also has a key so I can go into the bathroom or a changing room and not have to worry about someone taking off with it.

The seat can swivel with a lever under it for ease in getting in and out, and the basket is optional. The handle distance can be adjusted and locked to your preference. It even has a headlight for night-time driving!

A battery charge gauge is on the handle area so you can tell how much you have left, and you can either charge on the scooter, or bring in the battery alone to charge.

One thing I don't like is it's not very long so I can't stretch out much, but it is supposed to be portable, so I can live with it. There is only 2" clearance so I need a board to get from my driveway to the road.
